Visual Notes
Every story begins before the first sentence. These photographs, drawings, and visual fragments are not illustrations of my fiction but part of its origin. Some have inspired stories already written; others continue to wait, quietly, for the right words.

Before the Story
Every story begins with an image. Sometimes it is a gesture, sometimes a forgotten object, and sometimes a solitary tree that seems to have survived everyone who once stood beneath it. I photograph these places because they already contain the atmosphere of a story, long before the first sentence is written.
The Last Chord
Before writing, I often find myself returning to images where time appears to have stopped. Objects possess a quiet memory of their own, waiting for someone willing to listen.

The Shape of Memory
I often return to places where architecture and nature appear to have reached an unspoken agreement. There is something deeply moving about spaces that seem to remember more than those who pass through them.
Where Nothing Happens
Parks, streets, cafés, stations. Places where, at first glance, nothing remarkable seems to happen. Yet I have always believed that fiction begins precisely there, in the quiet moments we usually pass by without noticing.
